Tornado reportedly tears through Bunbury community centre with children inside, woman taken to hospital

Emergency services are responding to reports of a tornado at the Bunbury Police and Community Youth Centre in Western Australia’s south, with one woman rushed to hospital.

Multiple ambulances are at the centre, with a woman aged in her 30s taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a St John Ambulance spokesperson said.

A WA Police spokesperson confirmed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services had attended the scene and was waiting for debris to be cleared.

The West Australian reports up to 50 children were inside the centre, located on Wimbledon Way in Withers.
