A teenage off-spinner has just recorded some of the most remarkable figures ever seen in international cricket.
Rohmalia Rohmalia, a 17-year-old from Indonesia, bowled 3.2 overs in her nation’s clash with Mongolia on Thursday.

Rohmalia had a dot ball on all 20 of them and finished with seven wickets, with her 7-0 the best figures ever recorded in men’s or women’s Twenty20 Internationals.
The youngster was rightly lauded on social media, with one fan even making an early lofty comparison to an Australian great.
“A wonderful and rememberable spell, no one can forget,” was one comment on her achievement on X, formerly Twitter.
“Rohmalia Rohmalia; so good they named her twice,” quipped another.
“Someone gift that girl a trip to Lords,” wrote a third.
On Instagram, a fan compared Rohmalia to Australia’s great all-rounder, Ellyse Perry.
“The upcoming Ellyse Perry of the Indonesia Cricket Team,” wrote a cricket fan page called Cricket Erudite to its 16,400 followers.
The effort came in the fifth T20 between the teams in Bali.
Batting first, Indonesia made 151 runs, with the Mongolians crumbling in the face of Rohmalia’s spell, dismissed for just 24.
No batter reached double figures, with extras accounting for 10 of Mongolia’s runs.
Rohmalia is the third bowler to take seven wickets in a women’s T20I, joining Argentina’s Alison Stocks and the Netherlands’ Frederique Overdijk, who shared the previous record of seven wickets for three runs.
Malaysia’s Syazrul Ezat Idrus holds the men’s record, claiming 7-8 against China last year.
In terms of Australians, Ashton Agar holds the national record with his 6-30 against New Zealand in 2021.
Molly Strano’s 5-10 leads Aussie women, also against the Kiwis back in 2017.
