Flight attendant elbowed in wild brawl

Chaotic video footage captured a brawl that broke out on a long-haul flight from Taiwan to California when one passenger stole the other’s seat.

The fight broke out just hours into an almost 12-hour flight on Tuesday when one passenger decided to switch seats because his neighbour was coughing — and took the other’s seat, according to What’sTheJam.

When the original occupant returned, he tried to hit the man who had poached the seat.

The man gets in a hit before three flight attendants quickly try to step in and stop him, with one holding him from behind while another pushes him back, video shows.

As they tried to separate the men, one of the flight attendants was elbowed in the head.

Just when it appeared the fight had settled down, the man who poached the seat stands up and approaches the other passenger again, pushing the flight attendant to the side and taking a big swing at him.

Passengers can be heard screaming as the two men tussle, exchanging blows in the aisle before several passengers step in to help the crew separate them.

The shocking scene unfolded about three hours into EVA Air Flight BR08 from Taipei City to San Francisco.

Following the altercation, the two men continued to point and shout at each other, but were kept separate for the remainder of the flight.

They were handed over to San Francisco police following their arrival. EVA Airways has not commented on the incident.
