A woman’s body was found after an explosion in a townhouse in western Sydney.

The explosion occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday in Whalan, about 45 kilometers west of Sydney’s central business district.

The woman, about 30 years old, was reported missing after the incident.

Her body was found at the crime scene around 3:20 a.m. on Monday.

Since the explosion, New South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, police and specialist municipal rescue teams have been searching the rubble at Waikanda Crescent in Whalan.

The woman has yet to be officially identified.

Firefighters rushed to the scene of the accident on Waikanda Crescent, which left six people injured and several nearby units destroyed.

The explosion was so powerful that it could be felt 40 kilometers away.

Five people were evacuated, including two women aged 60 and 70. A dog was also rescued.
