What are Flairs & How to get them in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

In Pokemon Trading Card Pocket GameFlairs are additional cosmetic items that players can craft and unlock to add special effects to certain cards. Flairs, basically, are animated decorations — like lightning, stars, and flames — that pop out of the card when you look at it.

The great thing about Flairs is getting them for extra copies of your cards, meaning your dupes have a purpose! Each card in the game can have different unlocked Flairs. Most Flairs will refer to Pokemon/Card types, fire, grass and water effects for example, as well as general cosmetics like sparkles.

To unlock Flairs, certain conditions must be met. First, you need to have at least three copies of a single cardbecause opening Flair requires the player to still have at least two copies of the card left after spending one. This is to protect the deck, as the maximum number of copies of each card allowed in the deck is also two. In addition to the copy of the card you want to open Flair, you also need to have Shinedust to spend.

Shinedust is one of the most valuable currencies in the game and can be obtained from cards or as a reward for completing missions. The amount of Shinedust in a Flair varies depending on the Flair you want to unlock. Once you are ready to unlock Flair, go to your collection and click on the card you want to unlock Flair.

When viewing the card, there will be a 'Get Flair' button at the bottom of the page. Go ahead and click this button to enter the menu, to see all the eligible Flairs that can be unlocked for this card. For example, the Farfetch'd in the image above has a simple glowing Flair, while the Charizard card below has a burning flame to bring some extra life to the artwork.

After you've selected the Flair you want to buy, you can click on it to view the card, which will bring up the buy button. As long as you have enough cards and Shinedust to buy, these items will sell, and you'll have a new Flair unlocked — it's that easy!
