These characters will not return to One Piece

The narrative structure of One piece ensuring that many characters are placed in situations where they can return to the story, even after a long absence. That being said, despite the opportunities provided by this system, there are a few characters that we may not see more of due to different circumstances. The true reason behind each character varies, and most of them are united only by the fact that the narrative seems to have, for better or worse, left them without an easy way to return. These characters are likely to have made their last, if not one of their last appearances in the series.

7 Nero

Maybe dead

Nero was a member of Cipher Pol 9 (CP9) who only knew four of the six Rokushiki techniques, which he had not learned in Tekkai and Shigan. Despite most of his friends breaking down, he was able to hold Franky for a while. However, his own lack of experience led to him being fired after failing several times. He was injured by Rob Lucci and thrown into the ocean during a storm called Aqua Laguna.

There is still no official confirmation that Nero is dead, leaving open the possibility that he survived the storm. However, even if this is the case, it cannot be translated into additional manifestations. This is because Nero is not important enough of a character to be declared dead. Maybe he'll be reunited at the end of the series, with the other characters who didn't die, but because of his sexist, mortal and pointless nature, it doesn't make much sense to bring him back. the series.

Hody Jones is one of the first villains of the Post-Timeskip era One piece. He is the new captain of the Fish-Man Pirates, and is a blind follower of Arlong's ideals, knowing nothing about the humans he claims to hate so deeply. He's trying to hijack Fish-Man Island, which he'll use as a springboard for a nebulous plan to take over the world. However, throughout all of his speeches, he and his team proved themselves unable to fight even the top soldiers of Fish-Man Island without some form of support.

To do this, they constantly consume energy steroids, which will temporarily increase their physical strength. Although this led to premature aging, it gave them more energy. However, these steroids not only stopped him from losing, but eventually aged him beyond the point where he could fight. Hody took the most steroids, and seemed to suffer more than his peers. They were all imprisoned for their crimes.

Given the rapid aging and decline of the larger story of the Fish-Man supremacist group, there seems to be no reason for Hody and his team to return.

3 Enel

Man on the moon

For all the important lore revealed during the Skypiea arc, it cannot be ignored that it takes place in a completely different area than the blue sea seen during most of the story. This fact can be seen by people who have a small investment in going below, one of them is Enel. This self-proclaimed “God” seems content with the kidnapping, only annoyed at not being able to find the Fairy Vearth, a legend told by the Birkan people.

After his defeat by Luffy and more importantly, the loss of his power in Skypiea, he redoubled his efforts to find the Fairy Vearth. As it turns out, it's actually the moon. Enel eventually encounters a lunar automaton, who is there to avenge his creator, who died in an alien-induced explosion on the moon. Annoyed, saying that the guests had insulted the Fairy Vearth, he sent them away. After using the power of electricity to revive the defeated automatons, he discovers an army of them underground, as well as evidence linking the celestial races, and decides to rule the moon.

Considering his apparent satisfaction with this goal and the lack of people involved, it seems that Enel will not be able to return, without his position on the moon.

2 Jozu

Jozu was a prominent member of the Whitebeard Pirates, being one of the 16 Division Commanders (specifically leading the 3rd Division.) The Devil Fruit allowed him to transform his body into an almost indestructible diamond. disappear, at the cost of circulation. However, the death of the captain, Whitebeard, and his partner, Ace, during the Battle of the Peak seemed to spell the end of the Whitebeard Pirates. It's not only possible for Jozu to return, especially if what happened to the remaining teams comes into focus, but there doesn't seem to be much of an opening for that at this point. At this point, it can be assumed that he is in hiding, although his exact whereabouts are not clear.

Gaimon is a man who fell into a box, and it is said that One piece writer, favorite character of Eiichiro Oda. This fact, along with his ever-growing hair, gave him a strange but charming appearance. He has been fascinated by Luffy ever since his captain asked him to join the Straw Hat Pirates. Gaimon refused, because he was attached to the island's rare animals and felt a duty to protect them.

While on the island, he began to bond with Buggy, his fellow Emperor. Sarfunkel who seems to live more permanently, a woman stuck in a barrel of the same situation. The two appear in love, because he fed her with love. The couple are two of the many seen listening to Vegapunk's message, but this may be their last appearance. Gaimon's limiting factors aside from his desire to stay on the island include his importance and fighting skills.
