A new interview focused on Keanu Reeves' role as Shadow in Sonic 3 seems to have accidentally revealed the first look at Super Shadow and Super Sonic.
Ever since Shadow the Hedgehog was first teased in the credits for Sonic 2, fans have speculated that the next film will follow the character's origin closely and basically feel like a reboot of Sonic Adventure 2. everything we've seen about Sonic 3 so far seems to confirm that this is indeed the case.

Maria will be completely wasted in the upcoming threequel.
While there are already clear differences between Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic 3 (such as Shadow wielding a gun), the similarities mean that fans have a long list of stories to look forward to, such as Maria was shot. The jury is still out on this one, but a new interview seems to inadvertently confirm a big moment that's about to happen.
Earlier this week following the release of the latest Sonic 3 trailer, Screen Rant released a behind-the-scenes featurette showing the Sonic 3 cast discussing Keanu Reeves as Shadow. Between interviews and shots showing Reeves and the other players in the booth, new images of Sonic 3 are also shown.
Although most of the images are not very obvious, there is one shot towards the halfway point of the feature that teases a big moment. As pointed out by Twitter user KellytoyDK, there is a brief shot of the Space Colony Ark preparing to launch a massive laser attack on Earth, presumably piloted by the Robotniks.
As shown in the Space Colony Ark, two golden figures can be seen hovering over it and seemingly trying to stop it. I probably don't need to tell you this, but it looks like Super Sonic and Super Shadow are showing up for the first time. While this is bound to happen and has been heavily teased in recent trailers, it seems like a no-brainer to show it here.
This won't come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Shadow's character arcs, but this suggests that he and Sonic will stay in the fight and work together to defeat the two Robotniks. It remains to be seen whether Sonic 3 will follow the ending of Adventure 2, so we at least have a big surprise waiting for us.
