Pokemon GO Developer Niantic has confirmed that the Fashion Week event will return as one of the first events in the game in 2025 for a limited time. Pokemon Go Players can encounter new Pokemon with costumes and get additional rewards, thanks to several event bonuses and field research tasks.

Pokemon GO Fashion Week returns on Friday 10th January at 10am and local events will run until Sunday 19th January 2025 at 8pm. During the event, players will receive double Stardust for catching Pokemon, and players level 31 and above will have double the chance of receiving XL Candy from Pokemon Go. Increased chance of encountering a shiny Kirlia dressed in the forest, along with a dressed Diglett and Blitzle. Butterfree Costumed, Dragonite, Minccino, and Cinccino will also appear in the wild after the Fashion Week quest is completed, along with the chance to find shiny variants. Skitty, Buneary, Furfrou, and Bruxish will appear more often in the forest.

Completing Fashion Week field research and paid seasonal research tasks provides additional encounters and rewards.
During Fashion Week, one-star and three-star raids will be held, giving players more opportunities to encounter new costumed Pokemon, including costumed Shinx. Pokemon GO Remote Raid Passes can be used to access raids remotely. Players who want to earn more XP and Stardust after completing Field Research tasks can purchase the new Fashion Week Paid seasonal research for $5. Timed Research rewards include 3,500 XP, 3,500 Stardust, new event poses, and additional encounters with Pokemon featured at Fashion Week. It's worth noting that Timed Research rewards must be claimed before the end of Fashion Week.
The in-game Pokemon GO The store will also have new Plaid Top and Plaid Pants avatar items, which will still be available for purchase after the end of Fashion Week. As before Pokemon Go Players can enter newly acquired Pokemon at PokeStop Showcases to earn rewards during Fashion Week. Finally, Niantic has confirmed that there will be a collection challenge at Fashion Week, and completing the challenge grants more XP and a guaranteed encounter with a dressed-up Shinx.
