Death in shonen anime is usually saved for a few major characters during a season. Most of the time, no major characters die at all. With a series that doesn't shy away from killing off its characters, some deaths are bound to have more of an impact than others. From people who didn't expect to die, to people who had a death flag, but died in a way that made fans agape, here are the most memorable and shocking deaths in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Nanami Kento

Nanami's death may not be the most shocking on the list, but it's certainly one of the saddest. He didn't want to continue being a witch, but he left it to a sense of responsibility. During the last moments of his life, he was too tired to think clearly, but he thought about taking a vacation in Malaysia.

His death hastened Yuji's mental deterioration, and the death favorite set a standard for the seriousness of the Culling game.

Ryomen Sukuna

Sukuna's death was not shocking at all. As an antagonist, his death at the hands of Yuji is more a question of when than if. However, the actual death was as surprising as the way it was handled. Nobara Kugisaki
