If there's one thing players love about Pokemon, it's Dragons. This powerful type has incredible Pokemon in it, including Rayquaza, Dragapult, and Salamence. For Pokemon TCG Pocket, your options are limited to what you can draw when building your deck.

Pokemon Pocket: All the old Pokemon
Here are the best old Pokemon cards in the Pokemon TCG Pocket.
In fact, there are three dragon-type Pokemon cards available, all in the Dragonite evolution line. We'll take a look at all three cards to see how they stack up against some of the other popular cards in the game, along with a bonus look at some rare images you can see.

Dratini – Apex Genetics
Basic Pokemon with big dreams
Let's start with the Common (a diamond rare) Basic Pokemon, Dratini. This cute little Pokemon is known as Dragon Pokemon and has the desire to evolve into one of the strongest Pokemon in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
At 70 HP, Dratini can withstand a hit or two from some of the stronger Basic Pokemon commonly found in decks, though you'll want to quickly evolve it with Dragonair to to keep it. Dratini Genetic Apex's Dratini has just one attack, Ram, which does 40 damage, which is on the higher end of the range of Pokemon Basic attacks. The downside is that it costs two Energy, one Water and one Electric.
One of the better aspects of Dragon-type cards so far is that they have no weaknesses, at least for the Dratini line in Genetic Apex. This may change when there are more groups, but you should be safe from damage from your opponent's attacks.
3
Dragonair – Genetic Apex
Establishing Victory
Evolving your Dratini into a Dragonair gives you a huge upgrade to your power, while enjoying a nice HP boost. The Stage 1 card comes with 100 HP and a single attack, Tail Smack, that does 80 worth of damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon.

Grow as a player with these cards.
Tail Smack costs one more colorless energy than Ram's Dratini attack, so it doesn't take much to get there. If you can follow up an attack with Dratini with Dragonair's Tail Smack, you are likely KOing your opponent's Pokemon, dealing 120 damage. Unless you have a higher HP EX card or a higher evolution line more than your opponent, you may be looking at a point.
The nice thing about Dritini and Dragonair is that they only have one colorless value. You can reduce this cost to zero by using X Speed Trainer cards, allowing you to return them to the bench to recover or collect more money if another Pokemon takes the spot. Active.
2
Dragonite – Apex Genetics
Master The Draco Meteor
Replacing the Dragon-type cards currently available in the Pokemon TCG Pocket, Dragonite is a powerful card that has unique attacks. Draco Meteor costs four energy, one water, one electric and two colorless, but it can release over 200 points. This damage is randomly distributed to up to four of your opponent's Pokemon, whether in the active or benched position.
A single Pokemon can be picked up more than once, but generally you hit two or three different Pokemon with Draco Meteor. These enemy Pokemon take 50 damage each time they are selected this way, which is a lot of damage across the board.

Pocket Pokemon: All supporters lined up
The perfect support card can change the way your deck plays. We look at all the support cards in the game and rank them.
Since Dragonite has 160 HP, you can probably get in an attack or two since not many Pokemon can take it out with a single attack, even with a Giovanni Supporter card. Although rare, it is entirely possible to score three points in one attack depending on the shape of your opponent's board.
1
Rare Image Dragonite – Genetic Apex
Give yourself some Flair
There is no mechanical difference between the Illustration Rare Dragonite and the regular rare, but it is much more beautiful on the battlefield to sting your opponent. The illustration, by Pokemon TCG veteran Gemi, shows the Dragon-type flying above the sea with a setting sun in the background, several ships crossing the sea, and a shower of meteors overhead.
The main drawback of the Illustration Rare Dragonite is that it has a very low spawn rate in the pack, meaning that one draw won't happen for a long time. Crafting one isn't an option for most free-to-play players because it costs 400 pack points, which goes into the 80 packs you have to open to get those points.
All of the cards in the Dragonite evolution line, as well as rare versions of Dragonite, are only available in Genetic Apex's Mewtwo pack, so if you're looking to build a deck around it must carry a lot of cargo. get the card you want.
