‘That’s class’: Bryson DeChambeau yells at fan for unforgivable golf act at PGA Championships

Bryson DeChambeau lost it with a fan during his final round at the PGA Championship after the grown man tried to steal a golf ball from a young spectator.

The Sun reports the top golfer tossed his ball into the crowd, expecting a young fan to catch it.

But it was intercepted by a much older fan, who then did a runner with DeChambeau’s ball.

The American golfer immediately turned his golf club towards the fan to point him out to the crowd.

He then yelled: “Hey, hey, hey! Give that ball back!”

The sheepish fan eventually complied and returned the ball to the youngster.

He could be seen running off after being shamed by DeChambeau.

After handing the ball to the kid, a fan could be heard in the video calling Bryson a “man of the people”.

The Shooter McGavin account on X said: “Bryson DeChambeau tossed a ball to a kid and a grown man swiped it from him. Bryson wasn’t having it.”

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac also shared her praise for DeChambeau’s sportsmanship.

She posted on X: “2 great redemption stories at the PGA Championship. Xander was finally able to get it done when it mattered most and Bryson is beloved by the fans.

“Feel good all around. What a drama packed, incredible major!”

Spiranac is one of the biggest names in golf, and boasts one million followers on X.

She boasts four million followers on Instagram, where she has gone viral for her golf advice and outrageous outfits.

She and DeChambeau are friends, and have collaborated on videos in the past.

It came as DeChambeau narrowly missed out on winning the PGA Championship to Xander Schauffele.

He was praised for his “class” when congratulating Schauffele for his first ever major win by CBS broadcaster Jim Nantz.

Watching the images of DeChambeau, Nantz said: “That’s class. DeChambeau comes over to give him a nod, a congratulatory handshake.”
