Nintendo Switch 2 production rumors clarified
There has been no shortage of rumors about the successor to the Nintendo Switch, and the train of speculation is growing rapidly.
One such accessory manufacturer is Canada-based Dbrand, which has posted a page promoting what it calls the “Switch 2 Killswitch” carrying case. The page shows a picture of the case with a game console inside. The name of the device, along with the distinct difference between the device covered in the case and the actual Nintendo Switch hardware, suggests that Dbrand indirectly shows fans and potential customers like the Switch 2. With the high excitement for the Switch 2 that could solve problems with the current device, the promotion quickly gathered the attention of viewers and commentators. In a comment to Insider Gaming, Dbrand CEO Adam Ijaz said that the hardware used in the case is consistent with the design of the Switch 2.
Potentially Leaked Switch Hardware Image 2
Dbrand also posted a photo of the Switch 2 Killswitch case on its official Twitter account. The design of the case is in line with other rumors about changes in the design of the Switch 2 to the current Switch and Switch OLED. For example, the case has indentations for additional buttons on the right side of the Joy-Con housing, distinct from the current “Home” button.
Although Dbrand didn't say exactly how it got the design for the Switch 2, its status as a hardware maker puts it in a position to know what the Switch 2 will look like. advance on the design of equipment to design and make the product in time. Dbrand is also known for its bold moves that attract the ire of major console manufacturers. In 2021, Dbrand fell out with Sony, which forced it to stop selling black panels for the PlayStation 5. When the officially branded PS5 black panels went on sale in 2022, Sony mocked Dbrand for not “knowing the color black”.
Dbrand isn't the only hardware maker that might be tipping its hand about the Switch 2, either accidentally or on purpose. A few days ago, accessory maker Satisfye accidentally posted a trailer for its Switch 2 accessory, the Zengrip 2, showing a blurry image of the Switch 2 (or a mockup close-up).
