However, there is still good news on the horizon.

These numbers have steadily declined since that peak, but the 90% drop on Steam is a surprising turnaround, as the game has been praised by longtime fans of the franchise. However, the game has not yet been well received Sparking Zero all the problems. From hacking issues and developer Spike Chunsoft's desire to have the game fit into the canon franchise reportedly causing balance issues, there are a number of possible reasons for this drop. Fortunately, Sparking Zero has exciting things for 2025, as three DLC packs are planned to expand the base game.

So, in the grand scheme of things, Sparking Zero already has an interesting roadmap planned for the first half of 2025. Although most of the details surrounding these expansions are a mystery, there is great hope for Sparking ZeroDLC's, and the excitement of more game content can lead to a surge in players. Also, if Spike Chunsoft continues to release expansions on a regular basis, it could help the longevity of the game in general, as players can expect a consistency of new content every quarter.

There is no clear answer for consensus on the problem, however. Perhaps there could be a separate way of honoring the character canon, but it would be difficult to implement.
