How to get rare weapons

The rare gadgets and weapons you find will be completely different from the basic options. They can explode, lighten up enemies, or even summon a hot cart that throws bombs. In the toughest battles of the game, some of the better weapons are a must have.
How to Get All the Gadgets
You will start getting gadgets from the very beginning of the game. They are free drops from defeated enemies or found in chests hidden all over the world.
All gadgets can be used in all fonts.
However, there is a point to most missions you will meet a merchant with three chests. In each of these chests you will find a rare weapon or gadget. They are not guaranteed to be for the character you are using, so you may not get three options for yourself.
To unlock all the gadgets you just need progress in game history. You will open the gadgets in the order in the table below.

How to get rare weapons
There are rare weapons found thanks to gadgets, but only five can be used by each character. They are found and locked in the same way as gadgets, dropped from enemies and caught.
Instead of being locked into an order, you'll only find them at random times as you progress through the game, along with rare weapons for Erend to come last.
