The Game AwardsGeoff Keighley's hosting will take place on December 12th. The biggest award from the show is of course the coveted game of the year, but it's far from the only award worth it. Some may consider the Best Narrative category to be one of the most important because, while gameplay is more than enough to carry a game, an impressive story also goes a long way. This is evident in two games that were nominated for Best Narrative and Game of The Year at The Game Awards, namely Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth SY Metaphor Refantazio.
Among the nominees for the best narrative Final Fantasy 7 RebirthLike a Dragon: Infinite Treasures, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2and Silent Hill 2. Every game has a clear story behind it, or it's a common story FF7 (with a slight twist), the heartwarming story of Kiryu and Ichiban in it Like a dragon: infinite wealthor the idealistic nature figurativelya story full of hope. It is difficult to correct this category, but it seems safe to say that, of these five, FFantasy 7 Rebirth, Like a Dragon: Unlimited wealthor Metaphor: ReFantazio is likely to win. No one is against it Hellblade 2 or Silent Hill 2 of course, as each is a unique experience in its own right, but considering the direction and reception of the overall narrative (as seen below), it appears that the two are a little backwards.
OpenCritic's review of the best storyteller nominees
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Like a dragon: infinite wealth
- Metaphor: ReFantanzio
- Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2
- Silent Hill 2
Breaking it beyond that is a crapshoot, but the most likely winner seems to be Metaphor: ReFantazio. It's not uncommon for a game or two to win multiple awards at The Game Awards, and if any game can do it this year, it's Metaphor: ReFantazio. Technically, Astro Bot SY Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have another appointment (of 7) than figuratively (of 6), but although they appear in many categories, the Best Narrative feels more like going there figuratively. Anyway, fans can hope FF7 rebirth SY figuratively to take many easy victories (and Astro Bot also, although not here or there at this time).
That is, if there is a “dark horse” to be made here, Like a dragon: infinite wealth is a very good game worth winning too. WHERE FF7 rebirth tells a familiar story, although familiar and figuratively integrate, flesh out, and expand into a beautiful and engaging world, Like a dragon: infinite wealth take from the best of both worlds. It is similar to the story of Kiryu, Ichibian, and Hawaii figuratively do the world, and it is familiar in the way FF7 rebirth is in the process of telling a new story. Of course, someone can see Like a dragon: infinite wealthThe story is a bit “big” and too complicated with too many twists and turns, but FF7 rebirth SY figuratively less divisive in that sense. But division can sometimes be good, because it shows how people feel about something.
Either way, FF7 Rebirth, Metaphorand Like a dragon: infinite wealth (if at a lower level) drag the goods, and if I were a gambling man, I would go Metaphor: ReFantazio. His win here was deserved, but fans will have to wait until December 12th.
