SINGAPORE: Pope Francis left East Timor for Singapore on Wednesday for the final leg of a 12-day Asia-Pacific tour, flying from the world's poorest region to 'one of the richest. The four-nation marathon tour has already taken place in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, but the 87-year-old pontiff appeared in good spirits despite fears for his health. An official departure ceremony was held at the airport in the capital Dili, where the plane took off for the Southeast Asian city shortly after 12:25 p.m. ( 0325 GMT).
