Meghan Markle hits new staffing snag: ‘Difficulties’

Meghan Markle is reportedly having trouble finding employees for her new venture, American Riviera Orchard.

The Duchess of Sussex soft-launched the homeware and lifestyle brand earlier this year, but it seems to have lost some momentum in the months since.

According to royal author Tom Quinn, she has “difficulty recruiting staff” because she wants them to be “full of their own ideas” while also “being compliant with her wishes.”

“One of Meghan’s biggest problems when she lived at Kensington Palace was that she believed the staff had to jump when they were told to,” he said. The mirror.

“She doesn’t have the ultra-polite old-fashioned English habit of asking the staff if they would mind ordering a pizza, ringing for a car or organising lunch.”

Quinn added: “Meghan has absolute confidence. But to make her brand successful, she has to take advice and allow staff who are much more knowledgeable about these things to make some decisions. That’s really difficult for Meghan because she’s not a natural delegate.”

The Duchess revealed ARO in March with a cryptic teaser video and vague details shared on a new, official Instagram page.

Subsequently, further information about the brand was released and it was announced that the brand would focus on kitchen and household goods and would sell oils, butter, jams and preserves, home fragrances and furnishings.

The first PR campaign also included a generous package of jam garnished with lemons, delivered to a carefully selected list of 50 influential and wealthy friends.

It has been reported that the company will officially launch later this year, but details have yet to be confirmed.
