MasterChef star wows in bikini pic

Former MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong has shared a stunning bikini photo as she begins a health and fitness transformation.

The TV star posted a photo of herself wearing a strapless bikini on Instagram Stories while visiting the Nimbus Co. wellness studio in Melbourne.

In the mirror selfie, the 42-year-old posed next to a cold water bath in the upscale studio, which specializes in temperature contrast therapy.

In a separate post, Leong told her followers that she plans to get her diet and exercise back on track after indulging in sweets over the past few weeks.

“Eating cake, ice cream and chocolate for three weeks straight was fun. Time to start training again!” she wrote under another photo of herself with a towel on her shoulder, about to get into the ice bath.

Coincidentally, Leong will be featured in the upcoming SBS docuseries The Hospital: In the Deep Endwhich will air on June 6th.

Joined by Gardening Australia host Costa Georgiadis and actor Samuel Johnson, Leong will be pushed out of her comfort zone as she spends a week on the frontline at one of the country’s busiest hospitals, St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.

Leong is employed as a staff member in the emergency department at St. Vincent’s – her own mother also worked for decades as a ward manager in a hospital’s emergency department.

The acclaimed food critic will also spend some time in the neurosurgery department, where she will learn what it takes to perform a successful operation.

“If you are a curious person like me, an invitation to take a look behind the scenes at one of Australia’s most famous – and busiest – hospitals is a gift of a lifetime,” Leong said in a press release.

“My week at St Vincents is now a lifelong memory filled with extraordinary people: doctors, nurses and patients alike. I hope The Hospital: In the Deep End gives viewers a new perspective on the services we – and the people we love – will all have personal experiences with at some point in our lives.”

Leong announced her departure from MasterChef Australia last October to “expand” and “further develop” her career.

She will also host the second season of Ten’s cooking show later this year. Dessert Masters Australiawhich she will host together with pastry chef Amaury Guichon.
