John Lennon’s son Sean calls Prince Harry an ‘idiot’ and ‘buffoon’ after reading his memoir

John Lennon’s son, Sean Ono Lennon, sharply criticized Prince Harry and his memoir “Spare.”

Lennon, the godson of Elton John, took X to give his “long-awaited review,” which he sums up in “two words: ‘Spare me.'”

In the responses, people defended the Duke of Sussex, but Lennon had cheeky replies to many of them.

“Well, you were the replacement Lennon,” one person commented, to which he replied, “If you say so.”

Another said it took “courage” to write Prince Harry’s memoirs, joking that “the toddler thing certainly took some courage,” apparently referring to Prince Harry’s account of frostbite on his genitals.

Many claimed that Lennon did not know or knew Prince Harry, but he himself stated that they had met before.

“We met once. That was before I realized [sic] “He was an idiot,” he said.

Several people pointed out that Lennon and Prince Harry have a lot in common: Both are children of incredibly famous people who died not only young but also tragically.

Lennon is the only child of John Lennon and Yoko Ono and was just five years old when the Beatles legend was shot dead in 1980 at the age of 40. John also has an older son, Julian, with his first wife.

Prince Harry was 12 when his mother, Princess Diana, died in a car accident in Paris at the age of 36.

“I have compassion [sic] with him in general. But the way he whines and complains about things is really too much. I’m just kidding. I think he deserves some ridicule. (I’m sure I do too),” he wrote.

However, he remained critical of Prince Harry, writing: “It is his own fault that he is acting like a clown.”

In another response to Prince William being a “golden child” compared to Prince Harry, he wrote: “This is very sad. I don’t blame him for any of this. It’s the stupidity that bothers me.”

He also explained after the initial review that he was mostly joking, and replied to one person: “There is nothing I did not recognize [sic] about what we have in common. Your assumption that I don’t see these things because I made a joke is completely wrong.”

Someone wrote: “You are entitled to your opinion, but FACT is that he has a bestseller in 2023 while you haven’t sold anywhere near that much.”

Lennon replied, “I mean, I don’t care, but I won an Oscar this year. [sic] well… I think I’m doing pretty well.”

The 48-year-old received an Oscar in the category “Best Animated Short Film” for The war is overinspired by his parents’ music, at this year’s ceremony.

Lennon has also followed in his late father’s footsteps and released a debut album, In the sunin 1998, and played in several bands, including the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band.

According to the company’s website, he also runs a small record label called Chimera out of his kitchen.

Overall, Lennon seems unfazed by the reaction to his comments. He writes: “People are going at me for making a joke about the title of Harry’s book. It’s pretty great.”
