Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have confirmed four new playable characters for the future Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles remaster: Rifle Droid, Staff Tusken Raider, Ishi Tib, and Mercenary. Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles was originally published in 2000, and is set in the same period as The Phantom Menace. It was originally developed by LucasArts and was originally released for the PlayStation and later the Dreamcast. It's a mix of platformer and beat-em-up, also featuring two-player co-op multiplayer.
After another previous release by the studio, Aspyr has announced a remaster Jedi Power Battles earlier this October, brought the classic game to modern devices, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The remaster will sport updated graphics, modern controls and all levels unlocked. This remaster will also be based on the Sega Dreamcast version, which includes the training and mods, and will be released in January 2025. The 2025 version of Jedi Power Battles will feature many playable characters that were not in the original release.
