The Foreign Affairs Committee met on Wednesday with representatives from the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Great Britain and Canada to present the response to the Israeli attack in the southern part of Lebanon, in preparation for the government's work in the post-ceasefire phase. .”

In addition, they were informed of the 28,000 new families displaced from the targeted areas every day.

This parliamentarian said that it is urgent for the government to develop a plan and roadmap as soon as possible.

MP Wael Abu Faour, a member of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, stated that “human, health, urban, agricultural and environmental losses caused by Israeli attacks have increased a lot. Initial estimates from Lebanese institutions indicate that it will cost approximately $2 billion, in addition to other damages and losses.”

Abu Faour said: “This is a new challenge for the Lebanese state that must be faced in Arab and international relations in Lebanon. The state is bankrupt and cannot bear such responsibility, but at the same time, it cannot shirk its responsibility to its citizens regardless of the controversial political views on the possibility of war. or its justification among some parties.

Hostilities between Hezbollah and the Israeli army continued on Wednesday. According to Israeli media, “43 towns were evacuated in the north, (and) more than 1,500 buildings, vehicles and infrastructure were damaged in the north. Additionally, six industrial areas were hit, and hundreds of businesses were forced to close due to Hezbollah strikes.

Israel targeted the towns of Kafr Shuba, Tayr Harfa, and Hula with airstrikes and rocket fire on Wednesday. A house in the town of Kfar Hammam was also targeted in the raid, leading to its destruction. This small town is located in Hasbaya District in the eastern part of Nabatieh Governorate.

Hezbollah has released a new video recorded by Israel's Hudhud drone, showing images from inside the Ramat David airbase, about 50 km from the Lebanese border.

According to Hezbollah, “the picture was taken by drone on Tuesday.”

A new eight-minute video released by Hezbollah shows several sensitive areas inside the base, including jet fuel tanks, the headquarters of Squadron 109, the Iron Dome missile defense platform, and ammunition storage. It also reveals the location of the headquarters of Squadron 157 and Squadron 105. Hezbollah uploaded photos of the base's command office, revealing sensitive details about the building.

This is not the first time that Hezbollah has used such tactics. Earlier, the group posted aerial photos of critical installations taken by similar unmanned aerial vehicles in Haifa and the Golan Heights.

Israeli media reacted strongly, with a news release saying, “Hezbollah's eight-minute-long video showing our weakness is shameful.”

But the Israeli military downplayed the incident, saying the photo was taken by a drone and had no effect on the grassroots movement.

A Hezbollah source linked the release of the video to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington.

In these developments, the Israeli army announced on Wednesday that “the reserve brigade has completed combat training in Lebanon.”

Israeli Defense Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir expressed support for an all-out war against Hezbollah, saying: “The sooner, the better.”

However, Israel's Ambassador to Russia Simon Halperin confirmed that although Tel Aviv is ready for a military confrontation with Lebanon, it still prefers a diplomatic solution.

He emphasized that Israel is not interested in a major war. “We cannot rule out a situation that could force Israel to enter a large-scale war in the northern region,” he added.

Coinciding with the issue of Israel's war, the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon has issued new advice to its citizens.

It called on “Canadians, permanent residents, their spouses and dependent children to follow travel advisories and leave the country while commercial flights are still available.”

The agency emphasized its focus on helping individuals obtain necessary travel documents and keeping families together during this process.

Thousands of Lebanese expatriates with dual citizenship from Canada, the United States and Europe come to Lebanon for summer vacations.
