With that in mind, this guide will help you learn how to solve the Inverted Palace Puzzle (level 8) in Monument Valley 3.
How to solve the puzzle in the Palace of Monuments 3
The Inverted Palace Puzzle has three calming pieces that make you stop and think. Like others Monument Valley 3 levels, full of complex optical illusions that defy the rules of physics. Here's how to solve all the pieces of this puzzle in the game.
Part 1: Light and Darkness
In Part One of the Inverted Palace Puzzle, you will find yourself standing in a unique palace, half submerged in morning light and turned into night. Your goal here is to enter the red door which will eventually appear. To solve this part:
- Use the blue and pink tools to match the tiles and create a path.
- Cross the bridge and go to the castle door on the right.
- When you enter, you will be on the night side of the castle. Slide the device to the left to widen the path and reach the flash window.
- Slide the tool to the left to connect the path, then go to the green button.
- Now, move the device to the right to connect the path to the door in night mode, and enter it.
- You will now return in the morning. Return the device to the left, cross the rail, climb the stairs, and enter the last door at the top.
Part 2: The Upside Down Palace
The second part of this particular Netflix puzzle is a bit more complicated, with two parts of the castle standing side by side. Your goal is to achieve the red door second time. Here's how to solve this part:
- Go to the right side of the stairs, go down and go through the door to the next area. You will see a yellow button — step on it.
- A pillar will appear. Click on it to pick it up and move it to the top to connect the two halves of the castle.
- Go back to the top door. You will be turned upside down. Go up, then go through the gate up on the left side.
- On the other side, press the yellow button, pull the pillar back, and go back to the front door.
- Now, just go through the big red door.

Part 3: Reunion With The Master
In the last part of the level eight in Monument Valley 3you will enter a dark place by the sea, with a red moon and black waves, where the the mysterious mentor awaits for Noor. Here's how you can approach it and solve this section:
- Start by walking the path on the right side of the black tiles. As you move, new tiles will appear and others will disappear.
- Pass the zigzag path, then go straight. When you reach the end, turn towards the sky blue button and stand on it.
- A short cutscene will play, introducing a new system. Now, move the entire house from the three blue circles below, twice to the leftuntil you see a ladder appear in the background.
- Go up the stairs and go up. Turn the system to the left twice.
- Go to the wall, and at the top, move the structure to the right twice.
- Go down the stairs and press the blue button.
- A red door will appear in front of you on the right. Just log in.
At the end, a cutscene will play, where Noor's mentor will offer words of wisdom, hinting at the exciting adventure that awaits her.
