Measuring or reflecting various attacks, such as Ki blasts and beams, is one of the game's combat mechanics, and mastering it can make many battles easier. Not only are these great defensive options, but they make your character look really cool while doing them, which makes spending the time and effort to learn these options all the more worthwhile.
How to exclude a pillar
The beam attack is a special move similar to Goku's Kamehameha or Jiece's Ball Crusher that has a little animations attached to them. These actions can only be diverted SY not reflected towards the opponent who used the special attack.
The last explosion that becomes accessible in Sparking mode cannot be hidden or reflected. But, you can still avoid these attacks by using High-Speed Evasion.
To avoid the beam attack, you have to do this hold down the Super Perception buttonwhich can be B/Circle/Q depending on your controller, as the attack hits you. It will do deflect the beam attack to your character's side.
Responding to a beam attack uses one Skill Pointand using Super Perception also consumes Ki regularly. You need to make sure you have both of these resources before trying to use this technology. Additionally, the radiation attack was successful giving your character a temporary buffwhich allows you to replenish your Ki faster.
You can hold down the Super Perception button as the beam attack animation begins to reverse effectively. If you mess up the timing, you might get attacked, so it's better to go into training mode to get the perfect timing.
How to manifest a burst of Ki
A constant Ki burst, which can be used by pressing Y/Triangle/Right-Click with the mouse, easily diverted or avoid by scrambling in all directions. However, to bounce these blasts back at the user, you have to time it well and press RB/R1/E as if the Ki Blast is going to hit you.
You can also perform Smash Ki Blasts using the block button, but you have to do it good time to return it to the user. If you're in Sparking Mode, you'll automatically deflect most Ki blasts thrown at you, even if you don't press any buttons.
