Tallnecks are one of the most popular machines Horizon Zero Dawn because they help remove the fog of war from the map and show the action. Although there are 5 Tallnecks in the main game, players can find a random one called “Frostfigures: Tallneck” in the Cold wilds DLC. To restore the Tallneck's functionality, the player needs to find replacement parts in the forest.

- Heading up the cliff, the player will find a group of Daemonic Scrappers grinding away the debris. Destroy them all to loot their bodies, which will allow you to get the decorationpart of the Tallneck.
- Then, turn around and go to the second location for the Stabilizer part, which is located in a cave northeast of where you are now.

- When you get to the cave you have to drop another Daemonic Scrapper to get the Stabilizer part.
- Then, exit the cave and go to the right side towards the snowy hills to get the last part.
- When you get to where the parts are, you need to take down a flock of Glinthawks, loot their bodies, and take the Actuator part.
- Now, go back to the Frostfigures Tallneck and replace all the parts in the designated places.
- Climb the Tallneck and add the Tallneck to your spear.
