Where to find raccoons in Red Dead Redemption

To achieve Rank 6 in Master Hunter ChallengesMarston needs to kill and round up five raccoons, five foxes and five Skunks. Raccoons are night, creatures, so the best time to hunt them is from dusk to dawn. Here are some of the safest places:

  • Oddfellow's rest: The cemetery here is a hot spot for raccoons and rabbits at night.
  • Beecher's Expectations: Check the area in front of the pavilion, west of the main building.
  • JUST south of Beecher's Hope morning from 4 to 6 am.
  • Armadillo: Look behind the wagon in the grassy area for Raccoons and Skunks. Also check out the back alleys of the city at night.
  • South of Armadillo: You can find Raccoons between two paths on the map.
  • Tanner's Reach: Place the bait at the main gate on the river bank, south of the town.
  • Tall Trees: You can find Raccoos in the area north of Tall Trees.
  • Nosalida: Stay on the left side of the roundabout to find the Raccoons.
  • Tanner's span: Look next to the “e” in the city name.
  • The Plains: The western part of the Door of Serendipity and north of Thief's Seat is home to many raccoons.
  • Manzanita Post: Raccoons often cross the tracks at the station here, especially between 7pm and 1am. You can also see Raccoons behind the cabin at night
  • West of MacFarlane's Ranchin the area near Basin Pike.
  • Around Warthington Ranchwhich is south of MacFarlane's Ranch
  • Around the Mansion in Tumbleweed: The area around the building is a good place to spot raccoons at night.
  • Around the Brittlebrush Trawl.

You can too
see foxes and skunks
in the area around The Plains, Wreck of the Serendipity, and Thieves' Landing, making them ideal hunting grounds to progress towards the Master Hunter Rank 6 challenge.
carrying a gun
with you, because dangerous predators like cougars and wild boars often roam the same areas as raccoons.
