Plastic is a very useful material for Fallout 76. Used to craft CAMP items, weapons and armor, ammo and more. It is one of those resources that can be found everywhere. However, despite being easy to get, players can't seem to collect enough plastic to build everything they need to build.

Although plastic can be found everywhere across the map, some places offer more plastic than others. This guide will look at the best places to get plastic, the best ways to get extra plastic, and the basic uses of this handy resource.

There are over 60 objects in the game that can be broken into plastic. Many weapons and armor can be made out of a few basic materials, including plastic. To get more weapons and weapons to destroy, just go to places where there are many human enemies. Most human enemies will drop weapons or armor upon death. Not only is this a great way to get plastic, but it's also great for getting XP.
Best place to plant plastic
There are many good places to farm plastic. However, there are three places that are becoming more profitable from growing large amounts of plastic. The first is Watoga High School. This place is full of all kinds of plastic. Go to the restaurant and pick up all the plastic items on the table. You can also find things like plastic pumpkins, salt shakers, and more. It's not unusual for a player to walk out of there with a couple of hundred plastic bags. This location is also perfect for those who want to restore the server. The server reset brings back a lot of things that can be found stuck around the empty land. To do this, you need to take a lot of things, then break everything, and jump to a new server.
The second place to visit is Whitespring. This place spans a large area and there is plastic all over the place. The building next to the resort has a lot of trash inside. This includes many things that contain plastic. Whitespring Golf Club has two pool tables on the top floor with lots of pool balls, each one plastic. You can also go into the Whitespring Mall and loot everything you see for extra plastic.
The last place to visit when it comes to plastic farming is Morgantown High School. Similar to Watoga High School, this place has a lot of plastic items. It also has a lot of perishables, making it a good place to grow waste.
Create passively plastic
There are many CAMP resources that produce plastic over time. Not only that if you place the CAMP on top of the pile, you can place a scavenger on top of it. This will produce a variety of junk, many of which contain plastic. Some of the best places that have stone piles can be found below:
- Northwest of Sunshine Meadows Industrial Farm
- North of Aaronholt Homestead
- North of Berkley Springs
- North of Harper's Ferry
As for the CAMP items that generate plastic, there are few producers of resources worth using. This item normally costs 700 Atom. Although it is an expensive item, it creates a pre-war board game. Some of the board games contain plastic. They also contain a variety of other useless substances such as antiseptics, bones, and even nuclear materials.
The Motorized Butter Churn is a great CAMP resource to have. Unlike the Games Cupboard, the Motorized Butter Churn can be bought or sold by players, meaning you don't need to donate items to unlock the ability to craft this item. Produces cooking oil over time. Cooking oil can be broken down to produce oil and plastic.
There are also many Collectron Stations that players can build in CAMPs. While some of them cost Atom, others are available for free during a limited event. You can also buy some using Gold Bullion. Generally, Samuel, the Foundation's Gold dealer, will have most of the CAMP Collectors in his inventory. However, Minerva can sometimes be sold at a discount.
The items you get from the CAMP Collector depend on the type of Collector you have built. Those who produce plastic items can be found below:
- Silver Collectron Station
- Scavenger Collectron Station
- Santatron Collectron Station
- Red Rocket Collectron Station
- Lumberjack Collectron Station
- Junkyard Dog Collectron Station
- FETCH Collectron Station
- Communist Collectron Station
- BOS Collectron Station
- Red Rocket dumpster collector
Buy plastic from NPC vendors and players
A quick way to get plastic is to pay a visit to the NPC vendor. Although you need to have a lot of Caps, it saves a lot of time compared to visiting and looting different places all over the map. The best place to visit is Whitespring Mall. This place has vendors all over the place, many of them will be selling plastic items. Some vendors will also sell large quantities of plastic.

Fallout 76: The worst elements
The items that players get from scavenging junk in Fallout 76 are important for everything from building bases to crafting weapons and armor.
If you still have extra Caps to spend after taking out the NPC vendors you can jump to a new server as it will refresh the items they have in their inventory. Some players may occasionally sell plastic. It is useful to check the player's CAMP in the global event menus to see if anyone is trading rhythms. If a player sells a lot of waste, there is a chance that they can sell plastic at a reasonable price.
The real use of plastic
Plastic has many uses. It is a staple of many weapons, both melee and ranged. It is necessary to craft many weapons in the game and parts of Power Armor. Plastic is needed to make many things. Loot items are usually turned into large enough that they can be sold to NPC merchants, sold to other players, or stored in the player's Stash.
But most players need plastic for some type of design. Plastic is needed to make Fusion cells. Fusion Cells are among the most widely used types of ammo in the game. It's not unusual for players to go through thousands of Fusion cells during a game session. Although the cost can be reduced by using magazines and various benefits, if you burn through Fusion Cells quickly, you will find that you always need plastic.
Another important use of plastic is in the manufacture of CAMP goods. Players love creating creative CAMPs, especially since the Best Builds feature was released. Building a CAMP consumes many resources, plastic being one of the main ones. Plastic is needed to make many things on the floor and walls. From Jack O'Lantern to some banners. Since the CAMP looks bare with no decorations, players will use a lot of plastic to make the CAMP more 'alive' and full. Decorating your CAMP with as many displays as possible is a great way to show off some of your more unique designs to other players.
