How to command groups in Thronefall?

In ThronefallYour unit is smart, and automatically attacks nearby enemies. However, the soldiers have no commander can create gaps that the enemy can exploit. How Unit Commanding works in Thronefall

When commanding a group in Thronefall, a small circle appears around your character and any units within that circle will follow your character. These groups can be directed to strategic areas of your state, such as exposed structures, chokepoints, or act as a second line of defense if the first line fails.

You can command by pressing “R” on the keyboard or square/Y on the controller. This action will cause all soldiers in a circle to circle around your character, indicating that they have been ordered and are awaiting further orders. Commanded units will follow your character, but they cannot attack if you don't choose the Commander perk after upgrading the castle for the second time.

You can press “R” on the keyboard or square/Y on the controller to issue commands to your troops. Doing so will cause the soldiers to stay where you left them, but they can move at will if they see an enemy nearby. Holding down “R” or square/Y will command the unit to hold position. When the group was ordered to hold a specific position, he will remain there until you operate on him again, then the war will end, or he will die and be born again.
