It looks like 2025 might be able to give it a run for its money, though, as there are plenty of exciting adaptations in the works, from Bleach: Rebirth of Souls to Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero does what-if fighting better than Xenoverse
Xenoverse is about a different setting, but Sparking Zero's – in terms of combat – is more interesting and surprising.
As cute as these two are, it looks like they'll have a hard time fighting for the crown of anime games in 2025, as the sequel Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles has just been confirmed in the latest issue of Jump Weekly. Details about Hinokami Story 2 are pretty thin right now, but what we've heard is very interesting.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Finally Announced
As reported by Gematsu, the latest issue of Weekly Jump has officially confirmed Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, which has been said to be in the works for a long time. The confirmation did not reveal the release date or the platform for the sequel, but it said that it can be played at Jump Festa 2025, which will take place at the end of December.
According to Weekly Jump, The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will cover the events of the Entertainment District all the way to the Hashira Training Arc, which is close to where the anime is currently set. It's unclear if CyberConnect2 will return to develop the sequel, but it could make sense since they handled the first game.
As of writing, no images from the Hinokami Chronicles 2 announcement have been shared online, although user Ryokutya2089 claims that a fight between Kanroji and Tokito is shown. The page also says “Pillars, gather”, which suggests that all Hashira may be playable this time around.
The announcement also seems to indicate a fusion technique between the characters, the concept of CyberConnect2's anime adaptation.
While details on the sequel are a little thin at the moment, the fact that a demo is coming in the next few weeks indicates that development is well underway. We hope to complete the 2025 release date and we won't have to wait too long.
