An expectant mother and her unborn child have been identified as victims of a tragic car crash on a remote road in rural Queensland.

Meggen Jade, also known as Meg Priest, and her unborn son Carter Jacob George Shadforth were killed in the accident.

The accident occurred on May 28 on a remote rural property on Lincoln Springs Road in Greenvale, North Queensland.

Meggen, originally from Ingham, had lived in Lincoln Springs Station.

Family and friends are overwhelmed with grief and are now preparing to say goodbye.

A celebration in honor of Meggen and Carter will be held later this month at Sugar Reef Baptist Church in Ingham. This event will be an opportunity for those who loved them to come together and honor their memories.

“A beautiful girl and little baby taken from us far too soon,” a friend wrote on social media. “Rest in peace, Meg and Carter.”
