SUMMARY
- For a long time, Fortnite was plagued by Marvel crossovers while leaving DC in the dark.
- This is finally starting to change with a lot of old skins returning to the Item Shop.
- This includes Starfire, who has been missing from Fortnite for over 800 days.
Fortnite's never-ending supply of Marvel skins and cosmetics has finally been cut short as DC skins, including Beast Boy and Starfire, have begun to return to the Item Shop.
Since becoming one of the biggest online games of all time, Fortnite has made a name for itself with many, MANY crossovers and collaborations. From Skibidi Toilet (of course) to Peter Griffin, Epic has made it clear that it's willing to work with anyone with an identifiable IP. That doesn't mean he doesn't play favorites.

Even live service games are undergoing a makeover these days
It will run out of things to update, and so it will repeat the update.
Over the last few chapters, Fortnite has partnered with one company that stands out from the rest – Disney. This makes sense considering the close collaboration between the two and how much money they've exchanged, but it seems to have had the unfortunate effect of putting DC on the back burner, leading to complete silence from the world of Detective Comics. .
Starfire is back in Fortnite after over 800 days
Mercifully for anyone sick of seeing Marvel's superhero team, that's finally starting to change. Over the past few weeks, DC skins like Catwoman and Batman have started popping up in the Item Shop again, suggesting that some sort of deal has been made for DC to make their big comeback.
More recently, this has led to the return of Beast Boy and, more interestingly, Starfire. Beast Boy hasn't disappeared from the Item Shop for far too long, his last appearance was on December 3rd, 2023, but it's a completely different story with Starfire. As pointed out by Twitter user and trusted Fortnite user ShiinaBR, Starfire's last appearance in Fortnite was 830 days ago.
While the absence of DC from the Fortnite Item Shop has been noticeable for a while and has been talked about a lot by fans, it's surprising to see how long some skins have been around. While Beast Boy was a little better, Starfire clearly shows how much Epic has appreciated Marvel's superheroes over the past few years – I hope they continue to bring back the full roster.
