Forgotten Xbox 360 games are getting a makeover

Platypus Reclayed is developed by Claymatic Games and is slated for release in 2025.

The original platypus was first launched on PC in 2002 as a side scrolling 'em up shooter developed by Squashy Software and published by Idigicon. It became a PSP exclusive in 2006 until finally being released on the Xbox 360 in 2009 via Xbox Live Indie Games. Named sequel Platypus 2 also released in 2007. Although the shoot 'em up game is still popular, the platypus a series that seems to have not endured the passage of time and other franchises. Fortunately for nostalgic players, the game has been remastered for many modern platforms.

Claymatic Games has announced the official trailer for the Platypus Reclayedupdating the norm platypus coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The remaster is directed by the original platypus designer and designer Anthony Flack. “22 years after its first appearance, the famous platypus is back, featuring updated gameplay, new weapons and additional content,” the official description of the Platypus Reclayed. Platypus Reclayed announced for 2025

In Platypus Reclayedplayers enter Collosatropolis, a once wealthy city now ruled by pollution. To avoid its decay, the neighboring city of Mungola is looking at the expansion of citizens. The player takes on the role of the F-27 “Platypus”, a group of fighter jets that are the last line of defense of the Collosatropolis in Mungola. Platypus Reclayed offers 4K widescreen fans and can be played solo or in co-op. Both split screen and split screen options are available. According to Claymatic, the innovation was designed from the ground up to be compatible with modern devices. Considering that Xbox 360 consoles sometimes face performance problems, the updated version may be easier for fans.
