if Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies have had their ups and downs in season 1, such as the release of Citadelle Des Morts and the temporary removal of camo farming in Directed mode, the mode remains strong overall. In many ways, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies has been the most requested by the players after the controversial change for a few years, because the map based on the circle offers a strong game of survival and many lines to find. The game also feels like a marriage between modern innovations Black Ops Cold War and the beloved Black Ops 3 thanks to the return of elements like Gobblegum, although this aspect of the game could still be improved.
Of course, the application of Gobblegum there Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies are tough. Players can hold three Gobblegums at a time, can get free gum every round, and have a chance to win a Gobblegum in a random game every 8-10 rounds. A few post-launch touches also added a bit of polish to the system, from parts of Gobblegum's HUD that were made cleaner for players popping up with the first three gums in there in a package. In Black Ops 6Gobblegums feel powerful without being invincible, and can be picked up regularly without players needing to spend COD Points. However, getting the most popular Gobblegums players isn't that simple, which is why it's a shame that Newton's Cookbook isn't there. Black Ops 6. Call of Duty players will want to mark January 28th on their calendars as Treyarch is confirming big things for Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
What is Newton's Cookbook in Black Ops 3?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3Newton's Cookbook feature allowed players to trade in some Gobblegums for other, more desirable ones. For example, if players have Time Killing and Temporal Gift gums but no game-changing Perkaholics, they can trade some of the former for one of the latter, giving them a chance to get what they want. The three recipes offered changed daily, giving players a reason to log in every day and giving even their favorite Gobblegums a purpose. When a very good recipe appeared, it was like a movement, with call of Duty Zombie fans jump at the chance to collect as many rare gums as they can.
Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Newton's Cookbook will return Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for the sole reason that Gobblegums are the main way to make money in Zombies mode. Players can purchase packs of gums with COD Points, and gums appear through battles, reward packs and through Prestige progression. The addition of Newton's Cookbook will discourage players from buying Gobblegum packs, as they can simply spin a random Gobblegum to trade for what they want when the right recipe appears. Activision may be against bringing back Newton's Cookbook because of this, as it would cut into resources, so improving Gobblegum would require a different approach.
As more Gobblegums are added, it will be more difficult to get what players want, as the rarity will be expanded with more potential drops.
How can Black Ops 6 improve gobblegum without Newton's Cookbook?
If the Newton Cookbook is back Black Ops 6 Zombies can be a pipe dream, there are other ways Treyarch can make it easier for players to get the gums they want without spending real money or expecting good RNG. These options include:
- Gobblegum Trading: Perhaps the simplest solution is to allow players to share the Gobblegum with their friends, like they do with mystery weapons. Hitting the machine when the gum is spit out may allow other players to pick it up.
- Gobblegum Spins: Something like Dr. Monty's Factory is a must see Black Ops 6. Although it is likely to be money through paid spins, with only free daily spins, allowing players to have another way to get Gums is beneficial.
- Gobblegum Rewards: Getting Gobblegum as a reward could be an interesting opportunity for Treyarch. LIKE THAT Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers can be awarded medals based on their performance in a game, with gums tied to each medal. For example, most door purchases can provide gummies like Wall-to-Wall Clearance to save generous players money in future runs, while most revives can provide things like of Phoenix Up and Nowhere But There.
Regardless of which way it ends up, it's great to see Treyarch cleaning up the existing Gobblegum system. While Gobblegum is rarely a must, and can be obtained often enough for current forms to not be considered a pay-to-win, it's too tedious for players to get the Gobblegum they really want these days. This can be especially annoying as certain gums are required for things like the camo challenge, so hopefully more expansions Black Ops 6Gobblegum is ready.
