CAIRO: Egypt's urban consumer price inflation fell to 25.7 percent in July from 27.5 percent in June, a faster-than-expected rate of decline. the analyst, the country's statistics agency CAPMAS showed on Thursday. On a monthly basis, prices fell 0.4 percent in July, down from 1.6 percent in June. Food prices decreased by 0.3 percent in July, although they were still 28.5 percent higher than a year ago. Egypt is one of the world's largest importers of wheat, bringing in about 5.5 million tons a year to provide bread aid to millions of people.
