In recent years, Call of Duty has become much more than a shooter. Although the campaign is different, including that of Black Ops 6, most of it is in the multiplayer mode that shines with innovation and new ideas. Most come in the form of game mods, skins and agents, but we often get crossovers with other great IPs that aren't limited to cosmetics. This could be in the form of an action game, a limited time game mode, or something else. A few hours ago, Call of Duty announced a crossover with the Netflix series Squid Game.
Red Camo, Green Camo
The Squid game was very popular when it came out in 2021. It's also some of the most Covid-era content we've got, so it has staying power. With the second season of the South Korean show airing on December 26, the two have come together to star in the drama. A short teaser was shown for the collaboration, which will arrive in January 2025.
The trailer shows an operator taking a piece of paper from a dead body, with symbols of circles, triangles and squares on it. This leads to the Call of Duty logo appearing in a similar format to the Squid Game logo. We don't have any news about it so far.
The simple inclusion of the red dress from the game's scene may be lost after this trailer. In anticipation, we want to see Call of Duty players play Red Light Green Light, cross glass bridges and play other deadly games we saw at the show. It will be a big event for a limited time, and will undoubtedly get some players to watch the show.
Black Ops 6 recently added Prop Hunt to its list of game modes. Although the design is popular among players of various games, it seems that COD players are not very happy with this game. Hunters seem to have unlimited ammo, so they can throw wide open and have a chance at hitting props. Hopefully Activision will make some changes soon.
