Baldur's Gate 3 fans debate which of the game's Taverns is better

The nature of Baldur's Gate 3 means that we can't experience a proper swordsmanship until 3, when the party enters Baldur's Gate and gains access to the Mermaid and the Elfsong Tavern.

Both establishments have appeared in previous entries in the series, with the Mermaid appearing in the original Baldur's Gate, and the Elfsong Tavern also appearing in Baldur's Gate as well as Baldur's Gate: Dark Gustiance.

Ruwdy dive bar, or refined wine bar?

In Baldur's Gate 3 – as in the previous game – these two pubs have different looks and customers. The walking mermaid is a nonsensical piece that is the representative of the illegal illegal organizations in the city. You can expect a lot, sea warriors and battles and battles that can strike at a moment's notice.

Elfsong Tavern, meanwhile, is a more refined experience. You can expect light, a lot of wine and wine, and meet interesting characters from all over faerûn.

A wizard and his tower.

The bartender at the Tavern, Alan Ahyth, is the son of the woman Alyth Elendara, who was the master of the elfsong during the events of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. He can be asked about the serious killing of Duke Stelmane. A walking mermaid may sink, but at least it's not covered by serial culture. Hags are… another story.

Reviewer Indiehple271 recently posed a question to the community, “Pick Your Vibe: The Mermaid or Elfsong?” It's amazing that the community is torn where they are.

“I don't believe it's a fair competition, Elfsong is a more important place, but the picture of the Mermaid just beat it out of the water and a bogon skin hair that was put on a doll with the park. Like, C'mon,” said Mnik1.

The ship comes out of the Mermaid Mermaid in Baldur's Gate 3 is a reference to the lower lantern, a tavern from the original Baldur's Gate that served as the ad ship. The larian combined these two places to pay homage to the two Taverns.

“Unfortunately, I have Elfsong's memory and Mermaid's budget,” jokes holler_professor; “Though I love elfsong, and if I lived in Baldur's gate I would not be like the plague, I love eagles very much. Sit outside in the Mermaid in the summer, and Cozy up to the Elfsong during the winter,” said the Synnersaint, getting the best of both worlds.

There is something very familiar and country about the hotel and the hotel and it doesn't really enter Baldur's Gate 3 until the third act. There wasn't enough time left in the game at the time to make the hub go anywhere else, but I think Elfsong Tavern was close enough to home for the party.
