Districts are literally the building blocks of your city Frostpunk 2. In addition to helping you plan your city, Districts provide useful resources, influence the mood of your city and determine your overall success. Whether it's a Food Team, Shelter, or Frostland, you'll need to build different Districts to accommodate the needs of your citizens. All districts in Frostpunk 2
There are a few different types of Districts Frostpunk 2. Each district has a specific job and ensures that your town has a constant supply of the essentials they need to survive the intense heat.
Food district
The Food District is responsible for this produce food to feed your people and ensure the survival of your city in bad weather. You should start building as many Food Districts as soon as possible to collect food and overcome food shortages in extreme weather conditions. As your city grows, the demand for food will increase. You need to expand the Food District to meet the needs of the citizens.
The Extraction District is a special building that is dedicated to extracting wealth from deposits. You can get Prefabs, Materials, Oil, and other valuable resources from different stocks.
When a deposit is depleted, an Extraction District loses its value. It becomes less productive and may no longer be worth keeping. You can destroy a spent Extraction District and get a partial refund to recoup some of your initial investment.
Residential district
Residential district provide shelter for your citizens to survive the harsh winter. Although they do not directly increase the population, Housing Districts provide the space and resources to accommodate new immigrants from travel or natural population growth. If you notice a decrease in your temperature, it is usually due to the lack of housing.
Central district
Think of the Central District as the administrative center of your city. In the middle of your residence and there is the Council Room and the Generator. The Council Chamber is the place where you can propose or accept any law you think is appropriate for your city. The Generator is a powerful heat source that provides heat to the surrounding districts, ensuring that they survive the harsh winter. You can build from the Central District to expand your city.
Industrial district
Industrial Districts are essential production of goods and Prefab in Frostpunk 2. You can order Industrial District to produce goods or Prefab, depending on your current needs. Goods reduce crime and increase income, if needed for Prefab construction. As your city grows, you will need more Industrial Districts to meet these demands.
Logistics District
The Logistics District is essential for expand your city's capacity and search for resources. These districts are only available from old road stations near the corners of the map, meaning you have to go to Frostbeak in these areas to build one.
Once you have a Logistics District, you can join Frostland Teams who can go on expeditions and even set up colonies. Building additional Logistics Districts will give you more Frostland crews, allowing you to travel further.
