BERLIN: Twenty-two people were injured in an explosion in the paddock area of Germany's famous Nuerbergring racetrack, police said on Saturday. Police said the explosion of an improvised explosive device on Friday night caused the accident, in which one person was seriously injured, three others were seriously injured, the German news agency dpa reported. The police were still at the scene to investigate on Saturday. Several people were taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
