Also, even if players are already at the required level, they’ll have to search the world for ingredients to craft them, and find the right blacksmith who can work the materials well enough.
All in all, being able to wear some of the strongest and most epic armors in the game will require a lot of dedication and patience, but at the end of the day, the effort will have been well worth it.
16 Toussaint Knight’s Tourney Armor
A Neat-looking Armor Offering Great Protection
As a medium armor, this set is great at combining good protection against, slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage, while still allowing Geralt to move around quickly and with agility. In addition to its formidable damage protection, the Toussaint Knight’s Tourney Armor also grants Geralt a 500-point increase in Vitality, which can be the difference between life and death in many situations.
Compared to some Witcher school sets, this armor is a bit lacking, and it requires a whopping level 48 to wear its more advanced form. This armor can be found in a chest under the signal fire tower at Mont Crane Castle, or in a bundle container at the Monster of Tufo’s lair, to the right of the big hole. It can also be purchased from armorers in Toussaint.

Not only does it look like it should only be worn by royalty, but it also offers decent physical protection and outstanding Sign boosting capabilities. The Ofieri Scale Armor grants Geralt 20% Quen Intensity, 10% Yrden Intensity, and 10% Axii Intensity, so players who like using every Sign in combat will certainly find this set useful.
Players will want to keep their distance when fighting monsters and human enemies, as this armor set, while it looks extremely fancy, doesn’t really offer too much physical protection, so that’s something to keep in mind.

During the events of the game, the Redania nation is locked in a fierce war with the Nilfgaard Empire. Geralt has the chance to come across Redanian Halberdiers who wear this armor set. It’s a spartan outfit with metal shoulders, a neck guard, and a red leather cuirass that’s full body length.
It gives Geralt a uniform look, almost like that of a mercenary. To obtain this uniform, the player is going to have to strip it off a Halberdier or craft it. It does provide some defense against piercing, bludgeoning, and slashing, but honestly, players will only wear this for appearances.

Players Will Have To Pay A High Price To Get This Armor
For most players, this set doesn’t rank as high as other armors. Not only does its color separate it from other armors, but it’s also difficult to get. The only way to get this armor is to choose to visit the Unseen Elder’s lair, since it’s there where Geralt finds the pieces of the armor and puts them together.
Unfortunately, visiting the lair also leads to the so-called worst Blood and Wine ending, in which Dettlaff, Syanna and Anna Henrietta all die, which is something most players wish to avoid. Considering its unique look, though, and high stats, the Hen Gaidth vampire armor still deserves a mention.

Also known as Skellige armor, this colorful set makes Geralt really pop without being obnoxious or silly-looking. It was crafted to help wearers survive the frigid climate of the Skellige Archipelago without sacrificing any of the protection regular armor provides.
It’s actually a decent set of armor with good ratings and resistances to a variety of damage, especially slashing. To obtain this set the player will need the free Skellige Armor Set DLC, and it can be bought from the Armorer in Kaer Trolde citadel.

11 Toussaint Armor
A Bit Too Colorful, But It Fits Well With Toussaint’s Atmosphere
This armor does border on the gaudy, being perhaps a bit too colorful side for some players. However, it fits in well with the fairytale atmosphere of Toussaint. This is the only place where Geralt can get the armor, and only if he chooses to go find Syanna in the Land of a Thousand Fables instead of Resistance visiting the Unseen Elder in his case.
Once there, Geralt has to loot the body of a dead knight he discovers, as this is the only way how to get this armor. The armor has a lot of gold and red tones, making it very different from grimmer, more serious sets available in the game.

10 Nilfgaardian Guardsman
A Heavy Armor Set, Ideal For Protecting Diplomats And Royalty
This armor is worn by the bodyguards sworn to protect people of importance within the Nilfgaard empire. Geralt will certainly look imposing when he dons this heavy set of dark armor with high pauldrons, metal plating, and a broad figure.
Found late in the game, this is one of the best vanilla sets players can obtain, though they do lose some stamina. The entire set can be bought from the Armorer in Kaer Trolde. With this on, Geralt will be extremely durable and show his loyalty to Nilfgaard.

Upgraded from the Manticore School Gear set, this great-looking outfit gives the appearance of a Witcher who’s ready to tackle any monster or beast that comes their way. Despite the name, it’s on the same level as a Grandmaster set from the other schools.
To obtain it, players need to have the Blood and Wine DLC, be in New Game +, and complete the quest Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear. It’s a tall order to acquire, but Geralt will have a great set of armor that provides resistance to toxicity and monster attacks, in addition to looking great.

The Feline armor is ideal for the type of gameplay that specializes in fighting fast and clever, rolling out of the way and hitting but not letting Geralt be hit. Witchers from this school are often sneaky and cunning, and Geralt can partially embody these traits in combat when he puts on this armor. It’s possible to find the diagrams for it in Novigrad in the caves underneath the Temple Isle.

It’s a decent set to wear for the beginning and into the midgame. But after a while, Geralt will simply need something stronger, and this set from Kaer Morhen won’t cut it.

It has great aesthetic thanks to the combination of metal plating, hard leather, cloth, and fur. It’ll protect Geralt from both damage and the cold.
To get this armor, players will need the Blood and Wine DLC, and then they’ll need to craft it up from the base set in New Game +. It’s great if someone is going for a rugged barbarian or Viking look.

It’s obtained in the Hearts of Stone DLC and requires the player to find various hidden treasure locations throughout the new area. It comes in three flavors, but the best variation is the Relic Set as it gives a bonus to gold found.

4 Tesham Mutna Armor
The Black Design Makes This Set Look Intimidating And Mysterious
Unlike other armors found in Toussaint that are possible to miss, Geralt can always pick up this armor while walking through Tesham Mutna ruins with his good friend Regis during the quest La Cage au Fou. Since it’s a vampire armor made all in black, it makes Geralt look like a deadly creature that just stepped out of a feverish nightmare. And if he puts on the mask, it makes him appear even scarier.
The armor has a unique look in comparison to all others, and as such, Geralt shouldn’t miss out on getting it, regardless of whether he plans to wear it or just put it on display in his home at Corvo Bianco. The Tesham Mutna armor looks amazing in both of these cases. Plus, its starts are nothing to scoff at either.

Perhaps part of the reason the Nilfgaardian nation is able to conquer so many realms is that their army wears this fierce-looking armor. It’s a studded set of leather with designs emblazoned across the chest. Not only will Geralt look great, but his horse will look very fashionable as well.
This set requires obtaining the free Nilfgaardian Armor Set DLC. Then just find the Quartermaster at Crow’s Perch, and buy the entire set from him. Wearing this outfit will also get Geralt into the House of Respite.

It’s the perfect balance of durability and mobility.
This set is locked behind the Blood and Wine DLC, and players will need to enter New Game + and craft it. Afterward, Geralt will have an intimidating set that seems designed to get blood on it without ruining the aesthetic.

This dark set of leather lends to the mysterious and shady nature of this School of Witchers who fight like assassins using twin blades with lots of mobility and stealth.
To acquire the Legendary Viper Armor, players will need the Hearts of Stone DLC and be in New Game +. People can buy it from the Countess in Barsodis’ Auction House during the quest Open Sesame!.
